I’ve never done anything like this before so     I’m not the slickest at it but I really, really        need your help. My friend who has the biggest heart and is always worrying about others,  has escaped, with her young daughter, from domestic abuse. When you escape from abuse you leave with nothing, only the clothes you are wearing, you often leave in the dead of night to avoid the repercussions of being caught in the act of leaving and arrive at a shelter with a handful of items for you and your child. After a time in a shelter for victims of domestic abuse they were finally moved to a small flat and it looked like finally they had a home - a tiny, run down, totally basic home, but                   somewhere to build something from. But no, an administrative  mistake by the housing       people who subsidise the accommodation of people who have next to nothing has just          come to light - they   have failed to put her         into the system properly and make the              housing benefit payments that are supposed to have been paid on  their behalf. In spite of   it not being her error,   they will not back date the rent payments So  today she has been       given 14 days to find £1600 herself or her       and her daughter will be evicted with                 nowhere to go. The sort of Unbelievably          horrific situation you read about but do not      imagine is going to happen to your friend.  I     cannot tell you how much it would mean to   me if you could spare even a few pounds to      Help them. I can’t bear the idea of this being    their fate, just when they had hope of a new  beginning, it’s too cruel, and so out of the        blue. Thank you SO much for anything you      can spare.
