Surviving with ALS
As some of you know my brother was diagnosed with ALS on October 1, 2020 also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease. ALS is a nervous system disease that weakens muscles and impacts physical function as of now there is no known cure and our family needs support from our community at this time.
Bobby is the sole provider of his family and has taken time off of work. Shelby plans to go back to work but their time is currently consumed with doctor appointments, phone calls and making sure their two boys get to and from school with only one vehicle. They are also trying to keep life as normal as possible for their two children, Johnathan and Elton.
Johnathan is very active in sports and they would like for him to still be able to play.
The family is trying to transition into their new normal and the bills are not going to stop. They are waiting for Shands to call to make an appointment for him to see specialists and it’s going to be very costly for their family on top of everything else they have going on at the moment.
We as a family appreciate all of the support up to this moment and we would appreciate if you could help any way that you can!
The whole family is keeping our faith and praying that he can live with this a very long time. Beyond the financial support we are asking you keep him in your prayers. ❤️
