On the morning of Tuesday, March 3rd 2026, Christine Campeau's life was violently upended — in the very place she calls home.
Christine, 56, has spent decades quietly and generously caring for others. As a wellness therapist, yoga teacher and breath work facilitator based in Potts Point, Sydney, Australia. Her work is about helping people find calm, healing and peace in their bodies and minds. She is a healer who shows up for people every single day.
That morning, a man in a drug-induced state entered her apartment building and violently assaulted two women he had never met. Christine was confronted in the communal laundry, where neighbours heard her cries for help as the assault unfolded. She was beaten brutally in the face and head and was taken to St Vincent's Hospital with serious facial injuries and a broken nose. Police intervened and the attacker was shot and killed. What should have been an ordinary Tuesday morning became a traumatic, life-threatening ordeal.
Christine is now facing weeks of physical recovery and emotional healing. She is unable to work — which means the livelihood she has built through years of dedicated service has come to a sudden, devastating halt. She needs our help.
This fundraiser exists to cover Christine's loss of income and her living and medical expenses while she heals.
If Christine has ever helped you find stillness or ease pain— this is your chance to give something back. And if you don't know her personally, please still consider donating to support her in this difficult time while raising awareness about violence against women and the safety of women in their own homes.
Let's wrap her in the same care, compassion and strength she has always given to others. If you cannot donate, please share this page as it would help tremendously.
