I’m Mark and I have never asked for help like this before. Recently one of life’s boulders came rolling down the hill at me and completely knocked me off course.  I’m hoping this is only temporary, but the situation is growing more urgent by the day.  I had major surgery in January.  Because of complications, my hospital stay was about 3 times longer than expected, and my recovery time now is uncertain.  I have been self-employed for years.  And now I am completely unable to work for medical reasons and have no financial safety net.  No available help from family or friends. I have been unable to qualify for loans.  I have called all conceivable help organizations to no avail. Applying for disability is taking too long. And now, I’m facing the prospect of getting my lifelines cut off – rent, phone, internet, and power. I am working hard on my rehabilitation and hoping to get back to working soon.  I used to be a solo practicing attorney, but retired from that some time ago.  When I am back on my feet, I am going to reach out to the community and become an advocate for people in need, crime victims, and children in trouble.  Please help me with my temporary plight and I will repay it tenfold to those who someday might need my help in the future!  Thank you so much for anything you can do!  God bless.
