To my friends, family, chosen family and cherished loved ones. I am coming to you humbly again to ask for help. 2024 was a year of survival for me. Focusing on my health and well being and trying to beat this cancer. Now that my active treatment is over, 2025 has been about absorbing the trauma and impact of all of the previous year. My entire life I have worked a lot and hard for my money and take pride in my work effort usually working 2 to 3 jobs at a time. Alas, even with my commitment to working as soon as I was able to during treatment, I have fallen on a massive amount of debt. Taking 3 months off of work as a necessity didn’t help either. Using my credit cards to survive while I was ill and compounding piles of medical debt falling on me for an illness that I didn’t ask for. I am trying my very best and working more than I usually do but I am now finding it hard to keep all of this going. Money is getting tighter and everything I have worked for my entire life is dwindling down to zero, RAPIDLY. My next option is to consult with a bankruptcy lawyer and it is breaking my heart because I am not a person who relies on the government or a bail out to take care of me but I’m seeing no other option currently. I am humbly and with great embarrassment asking if you could see it in your heart if you are financially able to, to possibly help me get somewhat out of these waters I feel like I’m starting to drown in. I did not create this fundraiser without much thought and hesitation but I am stating to feel the financial ripple of cancer in a big way. With love and gratitude, Kellie.
