Kain is the most amazing son, brother, and friend. Kain spent the last year in residency in NC for psychiatry after completing 4 years of medical school in Savannah, GA. Somehow, Kain managed to keep up with his friends and family, work life, and amazingly his fitness and health. In fact, Kain continues to apply for the TV show Survivor and even competed in Savage Race in Charlotte this year. He is the most well-rounded, strong, and incredible guy.

On May 24, 2019, Kain Weaver was working out at the gym like he does most every day, but today was different. Kain started to notice weakness on the left side of his body while working out. It was progressive. Even as this was happening, Kain was able to communicate the gravity of the situation to his family and those around. He suffered an AVM rupture-- a massive brain bleed ensued. Kain was transported to Memorial Hospital in Savannah, GA and quickly decompensated requiring sedation and intubation. That same day Kain was rushed into surgery to stop the bleed and evacuate the blood that was quickly causing his loss of function. After surgery, Kain remained on the ventilator with sedation in the ICU. Much of his prognosis is still unknown, but Kain continues to fight and improve. 

We still don't know what deficits Kain may have when this is all over, but we all know how strong he is and how hard he will fight! This page is to help raise funds for a dear friend who is on a journey that will be costly. Kain will have medical bills, surgeries, rehab, relocation, loan repayments, and other costs that need to be covered. Help us to support Kain and his family through this next chapter.
