SURVIVED BEING STABBED 38 TIMES Domestic Violence

On January 5th, 2023 my best friend was stabbed 38 times in a parking lot by her ex and survived it.

-She was in a sedated coma for over a month and had a stroke because of it.

-When she was taken off sedation, she could not speak due to stroke. She spoke on the same day in February her father had passed away 5 years prior.

-She suffered countless surgeries due to many fistulas in stomach and main organs after original surgeries the night the doctors saved her life.

-Her hand needs further reconstructive surgery from blocking the slashes to her neck, which is not covered by insurance.

-Her ribs were broken from him kicking her. Stab wounds were all over her body.

-Both lungs were punctured, her liver, kidney, stomach and her diaphragm (every major organ accept for the heart). Both lungs collapsed and recently filled with fluid after another surgery.

-She did not eat for over 9 weeks and after they started her on real food, complications put her back in the hospital. Wounds were leaking and infected.

-She had to relearn how to walk after having dropfoot from being bedridden for so long. After months of pt, she walked again.

-She needs further surgeries on right foot to be able to walk properly due to toes nerves being damaged, which is also not covered by insurance.

After everything named above and everything else that she has been through, she refuses to back down to a life of only doctor visits. She wants to help victims of domestic abuse. She wants to counsel people before it gets to this point for others. She is an inspiration and I would love to help her with her dream of helping others. Due to the court process still going through, the prosecutors cannot release her car back to her. She will need a car to get back and forth to school in the spring. I would love to raise enough money for her to buy a car right now to be able to go to school. She also has a three year old daughter who is currently still staying with her father due to Evas injuries. Eventually, she will have her daughter back in her life more full time and needs a vehicle to bring her to school. No amount is too little to help towards this goal of getting my best friend back on her feet. I am attaching the article of the stabbing.
