Survived a Hate Crime — Now We’re Fighting to Heal
Donation protected
On July 20, 2025, my wife and I were the victims of a racially motivated hate crime and armed assault.
We were chased, threatened with firearms, and called racial slurs by three white individuals who acted as if they were part of a white supremacist group — two men and one woman — near Partlow Road. Two of them physically attacked my wife while brandishing a gun and shouting threats. They called us “n*ggers,” told us we didn’t belong there, and one of them even exposed himself while screaming hate and slurs at us.
The entire time, my wife was on the phone with the police, actively reporting everything as it escalated.
As we tried to leave, all three of them jumped into vehicles and chased us down the road. One of them rode up beside us on a 4-wheeler and aimed a gun directly at my head through the driver’s window. In that moment, we truly believed we weren’t going to make it out alive.
While fleeing, we were chased into a crash. I was ejected from the car.
I woke up in the hospital with a fractured spine, broken clavicle, broken rib, severe concussion, and multiple head injuries that required a staple. I am beyond grateful to be alive.
And yet — we’re not paralyzed. We’re not dead. That’s nothing but God.
My wife walked away with minor physical injuries, but we were both assaulted, traumatized, and nearly killed. This was not just an accident — this was an attempted act of violence meant to harm and silence us.
We will not be silent.
We survived something that should’ve ended us. And now we’re speaking out — not just for ourselves, but for everyone who’s ever been targeted and forced to stay quiet.
This was hate. Targeted. Deliberate. And deadly. I’m not sharing this for sympathy — I’m sharing it because silence protects the people who did this. And they walked away while we were left to fight for our lives. To those who know us: your support means everything as we begin to heal — physically, emotionally, and mentally. Please keep us in your prayers and share this to raise awareness. This kind of hate is still out here. It’s real. It’s violent. It almost killed us. But we survived for a reason. We are asking for your help.
We are raising funds to cover overwhelming medical bills, trauma therapy, legal assistance, lost income, and the cost of rebuilding our lives after this targeted attack. We also need support to replace our totaled vehicle and take safety measures to protect ourselves going forward.
If you can give — no matter how small — or even just share this with others, it would mean the world to us. Your kindness is a lifeline right now.
Thank you for standing with us.
