Hello everyone. My name is Raymond Kang from Chicago, and in an attempt to provide reparations for my complicity in the 20+ months of horrors in occupied Palestine, I am creating this campaign for my friend Nedam Tuaima. His words follow below (lightly edited for clarity):

Hello, my name is Nedam and I am only 21 years old. Like many others in Gaza, my dreams have been shattered by the ongoing genocide. Once I was a bright student pursuing a degree in computer systems engineering, but now I live under constant threat, trapped in the far south of Gaza, where the sound of bombs and shelling has become a daily part of life.

I should be planning for my future, but instead, I am fighting to keep my family alive.

I suffer from a spinal condition that prevents me from working. My father, also unable to work due to a medical condition, can no longer provide for us. With the rising prices of food, medicine, and other necessities, my family is on the brink of collapse, struggling to meet their basic needs and unable to leave the house.

I am with my parents, my sister Wafaa (24), her husband (33), and their two young children–just 4 and 1.5 years old–we need the generosity of strangers to support us during this time.
