When this was set up Ashley did not have time to wait to receive the funds to access hotel housing day to day, and I renewed my drivers license because it expired on my birthday 12/30 in 2025. Guess what GFM needed to receive funds to your bank...? A drivers license. With Ashley's consent, that is why it says "for Nathan" because we had to make my partner the fund beneficiary because Ashley did not have over two weeks to wait on my ID to show up in the mail, and GFM would not allow an expired ID. Sorry that sounds so confusing! Nate is also able to send funds directly to Ashley via Cash App the moment it appears on the GFM since he has the finances to do so; something I would not be able to do. Ashley Diamond is a revolutionary Black Trans Woman who has advocated for the safety, care, access to hormones, and protections for trans and intersex incarcerated people in the state of Georgia. She won her lawsuit against the state for the abuse and neglect she endured, and won more rights and protections for trans who have experienced similar neglect and disregard.
