Kamal is a 22-year-old man living in northern Gaza. Before the war, he worked as a tailor and was saving money for his dream of traveling abroad. But on October 7, 2023, everything changed for Kamal and his family.
Early in the war, his family’s home was directly bombed and destroyed. Kamal and his loved ones fled to a friend’s house for safety, but they were soon forced out, and that home was later burned as well. They have been left without shelter, security, or stability.
Kamal also suffered serious injuries from explosions in his neighborhood. He recovered slowly, under extreme famine conditions—at one point going 12 days without food. And yet, Kamal and his dreams remain alive. He still hopes to travel and build a future far from the devastation.
Now he needs your help to meet his basic needs: food, water, and other essentials. Prices remain catastrophically high due to the blockade on aid—bags of flour often cost hundreds of dollars. Kamal is also hoping to raise money to pay for a passport and travel fees, in case the border opens. These are the tools he needs to reclaim his future.
Even the smallest contribution can make a real difference.
Help Kamal survive, dream, and live.
