Hi, my name is Shelby, and I’m fundraising on behalf of my sister Jenna, her husband Derek, and their three young boys.
After a long, brave year fighting a rare and aggressive cancer, angiosarcoma, Jenna has recently been placed into hospice care. The doctors have exhausted every possible option, and while Jenna is still with us, we’ve been faced with the heartbreaking reality of what’s ahead....
As much as we wish it weren't true, we also have to begin preparing for the things no family wants to plan for — including funeral arrangements and the support Derek and the boys will need during and after this incredibly painful time.
This fundraiser is to help ease some of that burden: to give Jenna peace in knowing her family will be cared for, and to give Derek the space to focus on being present for their children as they navigate this loss together.
While we don’t know exactly how much time we have, we want to make sure her final days are full of comfort and her memory honored with the dignity she deserves.
