We are continuing this GFM and increasing the amount of money we need to raise to $25,000.
The latest news...the state of California has denied any Disability compensation for our FIERCE Elizabeth. So many layers to this ...disability is paid based on the prior year of earned income. Due to COVID, Elizabeth was not employed during 2020-21. She is appealing this decision and applying for some Federal Aid. BUT...we can all help. Making a donation will assist Elizabeth with funds for her living necessities and provide much needed peace of mind so she can fully focus on her healing.
Elizabeth’s journey with cancer is more involved than originally thought. She was first diagnosed with Invasive Ductal Carcinoma in August 2021. On October 14th, Elizabeth had a mastectomy and an axillary node dissection. Elizabeth is now being treated locally at St Helena Hospital, which keeps her close to home and provides her with the excellent care she will need. She is halfway through her second round of chemotherapy and will begin radiation this March once chemo is complete.
Elizabeth has a very long road ahead, but she is staying healthy, upbeat, maintaining a good weight and ALWAYS holding hope. Thank you for keeping her in your thoughts and prayers as well as her daughter, Sophia, who has been by Elizabeth’s side every step of the way!
