Hello Everyone,

As many of you may already know, there was a tragic car accident on October 18th that took the life of our beloved Sonia and left Steve in the Trauma ICU at UAB Hospital. This unimaginable loss has left their children, Azariah and Sasha, facing not only profound grief but also the overwhelming responsibilities that follow such a tragedy.

As they work through insurance matters, funeral arrangements, and honoring their mother’s final wishes, the financial and logistical burdens will inevitably grow. We are reaching out to help ease some of that weight so they can focus on what matters most — grieving, healing, and celebrating Sonia’s life.

Your support will help cover essential expenses such as travel, food, and lodging while the family is away from home making arrangements, as well as costs related to bringing Sonia’s body home if it was her wish to be laid to rest outside of Alabama. Any remaining funds will go toward funeral expenses or to support Steve’s recovery and ongoing needs as he begins the difficult journey of healing and rebuilding his life without his cherished wife.
