Caden and Taylor Ulmer have been hoping to have a baby and have a passion for raising kids of their own.

Taylor was diagnosed with a heart condition in 2022 called Dilated Cardiomyopathy. Getting this diagnosis at 20 years old was certainly not what Taylor thought was in the cards for her life. She knew it would impact her future and future family. Unfortunately, and heartbreakingly, this condition makes it unsafe for her to carry a baby. Finding out that it is unsafe, in January of 2025, shattered Caden and Taylor- mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. It challenged them both personally and in their marriage. Yet, they still leaned on the Lord and His plans for their future family. Knowing that Taylor cannot safely carry a baby, they still desire to have a biological child. After seeking the Lord in prayer and community, the Lord made it so evident to them that surrogacy was going to be a part of their testimony.

In November of 2024, Taylor’s best friend came to her and explained a dream she had about carrying Caden and Taylor’s baby for them. However, the Ulmer’s wanted to do anything they could to carry and have their own child. It wasn’t until January of 2025 that they knew the Lord had other plans. From November to January, the Lord was softening and preparing Caden and Taylor’s hearts. James 1:17 explains that “Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows”.

With a surrogacy pregnancy, they are needing people to come beside them in financial support and prayer support to make this a possibility.
