Surrey Hounds - Ball Hockey Nationals in Toronto

Dear Friends and Family, We are the Surrey Hounds, a ball hockey team based in Surrey, BC, and we are excited to announce that we will be participating in the National Ball Hockey Championships taking place in Mississauga, Ontario from July 19 – 22, 2023. Tournament background: The National Ball Hockey Championships is an annual event which is hosted by the Canadian Ball Hockey Association taking place in cities across the nation. The invitation-only tournament hosts the top teams across the country with the highest caliber of players coming from all over Canada. During the 2022 season, the team went undefeated during the regular season and earned a spot in the BC Ball Hockey provincial tournament. While the team fell short of winning the tournament – with their performance, the team ultimately earned an invitation to a trip to Mississauga this summer! Who are the Hounds: We have been a team together since our inaugural season in 2017, and what started as various groups of friends coming together for some recreational hockey has slowly evolved into a competitive group playing top-tier hockey. See some of the boys below: Fundraising: This is where you come in. We need your support to send the boys (the majority of whom are still in university) to Mississauga and to compete with the top teams across the country. All proceeds raised will go directly towards tournament fees and expenses. Any donation, no matter how big or small, is greatly appreciated. Any donation of $150 or greater will earn a complementary Hounds nationals t-shirt. If interested, please DM @hounds.hockey on Instagram with confirmation of donation and t-shirt size. All orders must be placed by June 30th and will be delivered before July 15th. This is an exciting opportunity for just some local guys from Surrey to travel and compete against some of the best ball hockey teams across the nation, and we are excited to share our journey with you!
