Surrendered without my knowledge! Help me get my cats back!

Hello! My name is Basem. In 2021, my family helped me adopt two cats for therapeutic purposes. My cats, Omar and Ali, were only a few weeks old when we took them home. Almost immediately, I formed an unbreakable bond with them as I watched them grow, gain personalities, and explore their new home. I paid for their neuters and fell even more in love with them as they became just as attached to me.
Fast forward to present time, they are 3 years old, and I just bought them an automatic litter box that they immediately enjoyed using. I have supplied them with food, toys, litter, and more. They are the sweetest cats you'll ever meet, and they have learned to love and trust all people.
I recently left home to visit family in New York, so I changed their litter box one more time before leaving and informed my parents when I would be back. I told them that someone would most likely have to change the litter again and told them how to. They agreed.
Unfortunately, when I returned from my trip, I learned that my parents surrendered my two cats to the MSPCA. Not once did they reach out to me to let me know what they were doing or ask for me to be part of the process. I was caught completely off guard and was heartbroken over the fact that I didn't get to say goodbye and that I may not be able to ever see them again.
The next day, I took a trip to the MSPCA and thankfully they were still there. I got to sit with them and say my goodbyes in case I am unable to get them back. My wife and I are unable to afford a place of our own right now, so we can't take my cats back. Luckily, we found someone who was generous enough to foster my cats for me until I am able to get a place of my own. We are so extremely thankful for this!
The only problem is that I can't go to the MSPCA and reclaim them because my parents refuse to give me the paperwork I need that proves that the cats are meant for therapeutic services. This means that I will have to adopt my own cats, and this will cost roughly $500. I am more than willing to pay this price if it means I can get my cats back, but it's a lot of money, and I am really trying to save in order to move out.
Any donations would be amazing, and appreciated more than you could ever know. I will forever be grateful for all of my friends and the kind people who have helped me so far. Thank you all for taking the time to read ❤️
