Hello, my name is Glenn and this summer I met a family that I got close to. They have a son named Terry who really touched my heart since the first time I met him. Well Terry has TRISOMY 12p unbalanced and this guy still gets around , with only using his right side of his body . When Terry was born he didnt have a digestive out put . (Better way to put it he didnt have a Anus hole. )This kid has been through major surgeries since the day he was born and still lives in pain daily . Some day's are better then others and some days are worse. The doctor's also told Terry's parents that he would only live to probably see the age of 12. Well that wasnt true God had diffrent plans for this guy because he is now 18. ( just turnt it this summer )and he graduated this year also. Most of Terry's days are confined to the recliner by the window so when he hears a motorcycle or car go by he can look out .During the summer, I would see Terry quite often. I would ride my motorcycle by there and he would always want me to take pics of my bike for him. He loves cars and bikes. I would also take him all kinds of Hot Wheels and motorcycle toys. The smile he would get on his face when I would bring these by made my day, because I know it made his.
One of Terry's favorite things to do is RIDE HIS BIKE. ( I mean just think if you were stuck to a chair every day or inside and the only way u could get to move around without crawling ,( and not crawling like a baby but actually pulling him self or rolling bcs he cant use his left arm just his right uyou might want something to look forward to also )Anyways when he does ride ,this boy won't stop laughing and talking, and boy, he just tells you all about it. Well, Terry has gotten too big for his bike. Terry's first bike was the green one in the pic with his dad that insurance did pay for. The second bike, the red one, was gifted to Terry because he was too big for the green one and insurance wouldn't cover it. Well, now Terry is 18 and can't ride the red bike anymore because it's too painful for him. He needs a bigger bike. These bikes are called adaptable tricycles. They typically run about $900 for the basic model, but as you can see, Terry needs more than the basic model to ride this bike comfortably and safely. These features cost about $4500 after taxes, but I don't want to have to worry about him needing or having any issues riding this bike again. I wanna get the best one they can make for Terry and surprise him with it and show him the love that we as humans have for each other. His family tried to get him one through the insurance, but they were denied because they say it's not a need. If you've ever seen him on this bike, you would understand it is a need. Please help me meet this goal so I can get Terry this bike before spring gets here so he can go on rides with his mom and dad and continue to enjoy life while he's still here with us. Thanks and hope everyone can help us make this dream for this guy come true.
