Surprise! Merry Christmas Michelle!

(Please keep a secret, we will be SURPRISING MICHELLE)!!! 

 

I am one of Michelle’s younger sisters, Marianne, and I work for a small software company in Utah called BrainStorm, Inc. and every year during Christmas they do a giving campaign called “Holiday 100” and it’s meant to give to someone in need - whether it’s families that need, families that don’t have the financial means to have a Christmas, local random acts of kindness, families impacted by illness, and the list goes on and on.

 

Other than praying for Michelle and her family, I want to do more. So this year, I want to use my Holiday 100 to spoil Michelle with a Christmas gift.

 

As many of you know, Michelle is in the process of going through 8 rounds of chemo. As a part of her journey, she has taken on the process of cold capping which consists of a - 40 degree ice cap on her head the day of chemo for 8+ hours changed out every 12-15 minutes.

 

Along with that, she cannot wash her hair normally, brush normally, use any heat products, no curling, straightening, etc. She can gently wash and comb every 7 days and even then, she has a ton of shedding every day. Thankfully she had super thick hair to begin with, she’s probably lost about 70%.

 

So this go fund me is for three things:

 

1. To spoil her with professional hair extensions, a wig, or a topper and for her to feel more like herself again after 9 months of not being able to wash, dry, use heat, etc. I want her to feel like herself again!! 

 

2. Excess funds will go towards meals / foods that she is able to eat. Her little baby is due January 3rd and with finishing chemo, having a two year old and a newborn, I want to help with a “meal train” but give them money to be easily to get what she can eat for a healing diet.

 

3. Additional excess funds will also go towards purchasing breast milk from donors or any miscellaneous newborn items.
