Hello, my name is Mike Parent. Last week, a longtime friend had her husband pass VERY unexpectedly.
This has obviously rattled the world of my friend and her two young, diabetic sons. They've already gone through so much and dealt with so many things in life. Adding the death of their father right before Christmas is too much. I can't imagine being their mom, dealing with this passing, and having to now think and plan Christmas and try to make it okay for her boys.
I want to try and surprise them with something positive this Christmas. I unfortunately don't have the personal funds myself for all of it but will contribute as well.
If we can raise $400 total, quickly, I think I can get each boy a good amount of gifts. From there, I will do my best to get a Santa costume from somewhere or an elf if worse comes to worst and bring the boys a big batch of unexpected extra gifts.
I will take pictures of dropping them off and can post receipts showing the total spent. I want full transparency. Just want to help if I can.
Thank you all for your time and consideration. I don't want to include pictures of my friend or her kids, as this is a surprise and they aren't aware of it. I can post pictures of me delivering them as (hopefully) Santa, and receipts on what I got for the boys and stuff.
