Hello Brothers and Sisters,
My wife and I are fundraising for 59 families who are in dire need of food, clean water, and construction materials in Surigao City and Dinagat Island in the Philippines. Super Typhoon Odette's (Rai) destructive path has left homes, hospitals, and schools in shambles. Torn roofs, uprooted trees, toppled concrete power poles, smashed wooden houses, crop destruction, and flooded villages are commonplace. Shortages of food, clean water, and petroleum are widespread. Emergency crews are scrambling to restore electricity and cellphone connections. Scattered glass and hazardous debris lay on the ground floor and families are waiting in long lines to obtain food and clean water if and when they are available.
Family and friends, your gifts will go to 59 families of the Cortes and Paulco clans in Surigao City and Dinagat Island. All proceeds will be used for logistics and the procurement of food, clean water, clothing, and construction materials. Funds will be distributed equally amongst each family. With the aid from friends of the Philippine Coast Guard, relief care packages will be transported to the families in Dinagat Island. The rebuilding process is going to be long and arduous, but with your help, you can help expedite the process.
The Cortes and Paulco families will forever be grateful for your help in this time of need. Your generosity will help restore their lives and rebuild their communities. Thank you for your kindness, generosity, and love.
