Surgery for Frido!

While out walking our foster dog, Jefferson, we came across a small boy tabby who had fallen victim to a serious hit-and-run. He spent the night lying on a busy road and tried clawing his way to the footpath. When we found him, his front nails were all worn from scratching at the pavement and a swarm of flies were covering his backside.
After taking him to the local hospital for x-rays and a proper examination, it turned out that both his legs were broken, one of his ankles shattered, and his hips in need of repair. Frido -- named after Frida Kahlo for the time being -- will need some extensive surgery on his most salvageable leg and an amputation on the other. Unfortunately, my husband and I don't have the funds to cover the cost of hospital stays, medication, and his operations. But we think the world of Frido even if we only met him yesterday: he's the sweetest little boy, a real fighter and deserves a chance to get back on his feet. Please help us help Frido, the wonder cat!
We estimate the costs of Frido's medical care to be around €1,500 (i.e., €150-200 for his x-rays; €800-900 for his surgeries; and around €300-400 for his medications, special foods, and hospital stay). Extra funds will go towards food and supplies he'll need in the 8-16 weeks of care following his surgeries. Any little bit would help, and we thank you muchly in advance!
