Leg Surgery- Ben the Doberman Pup
Ben is an adorable 6 month old chocolate Doberman who was born with a congenital defect in his leg. His previous family was not able to keep Ben so we took him in here at Glendale Humane Society. Ben has visited specialists to see what, if anything, could be done to save his leg and ensure his quality of life. Doctors feel that Ben's condition is such that he would have to endure multiple surgeries- as many as SIX surgeries- and there would be no guarantee that he would ever be able to walk or use his leg any better than he currently does. The best possible outcome for Ben is having his leg amputated.
Despite his leg, Ben is outgoing, friendly and quite mobile! He is a staff and volunteer favorite at the shelter due to his loving and adaptable nature. We know that Ben's forever family is out there waiting for him. We just need to have his surgery completed so he can begin his rehab. Ben's surgery will take place in the next few weeks and we are asking for donations to help our small, no-kill shelter defer the costs related to Ben's surgery and rehab.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read about Ben and considering donating. Every penny helps and we are so grateful to you for helping us get Ben closer to finding his forever family!
