Surgery To Save My Puppy’s Life

My name is Corinne Patti and I am here to tell you my story about how I rescued my 7 month old French Bulldog puppy named Tuesday.
When I first saw Tuesday, it was an immediate connection and instant genuine love on both sides. She came into my life, stole my heart, and changed everything. I didn’t have a purpose in my life until I became her mom. Tuesday is so intelligent and loyal. She has more personality, integrity, and heart than most people. She loves everyone she meets and everyone who meets her loves her. She is a special puppy. That’s what makes her story so painful.
Tuesday has a severe heart murmur. In order to see what was causing this murmur, extensive tests were required. I took Tuesday to a highly recommended cardiologist in Philadelphia to have an echocardiogram done, which is basically an ultra sound of the heart.
The results from her cardiologist brought heart crushing pain. She has severe pulmonary stenosis. This is a congenital disease in which her pulmonary valve was poorly formed. This abnormal valve results in severely thick leaflets of her pulmonary artery; so thick they are almost fused together, making it extremely hard for blood to flow from this area of heart. Like any muscle that works hard, this ventricle of her heart has become enlarged and her echo test revealed venicular hypertrophy.
My loved puppy is sadly on a one way track with death. She is in need of a procedure called balloon valvulasticity, a minimally invasive surgery where a balloon tipped catheter is inserted through her jugular and positioned across the stenosis. This BV procedure will fix her disease and save her life. Hearing this solution was relieving. The only bad news: it is estimated to cost $5,000-$6,000.
This little innocent, sweet, intelligent puppy has so much potential. She has a full life to live full of new friends, new sniffs, new sights, and new adventures ahead. It’s now my goal and my mission to give her that. Even if you cannot donate, just by simply sharing Tuesdays story would mean so much. I love her beyond measure.
