BEGINNING OF JASMINE’S STORY:

My name is Nicole and if you know me you know how difficult this is to write. I don’t like asking for help like this. However, this is a desperate situation. I found out yesterday that my cat Jasmine has a tumor on her intestine that needs to be immediately surgically removed. She isn’t her normal self and the tumor is making her not want to eat. The vets won’t know until they operate what the prognosis is and we are hoping it isn’t cancerous. 

This cat has been truly the best pet I’ve ever had. She is personality plus, and has brought more fun and comfort over the years than can be put into words. You would love her, even if you’re not into cats.

I lost my job due to Covid and have been at home taking care of my equally lovable mother, who is also not in good health. Her stage 4 lung cancer has been a devastating obstacle for us for the last 5 years, and especially so during this pandemic. These two are my family and I have to fight for them any way that I can.

We are so grateful for anything to help pay for this surgery she desperately needs, and hopefully some of her after care. Every cent is going towards Jasmine, her recovery and post-surgery oncology and chemotherapy treatments. 

Thank you to this GoFundMe Jasmine was able to receive life saving surgery to remove a tumor on her lower intestine. This fundraiser allowed us to quickly schedule her much needed surgery and cover the tests leading up to her diagnosis. 

However, after the tumor was removed we found out that she had lymphosarcoma. This is a battle she continues to fight. Her weekly chemotherapy treatments cost me between $600 and $1,000 depending on the need for extra testing (ultrasounds, etc). Her at-home medications cost around $250+ a month. To date her oncology appointments have cost about $8,000. To non-animal people I know this sounds crazy, but some of us consider pets family. And Jasmine and my mom are mine.
