I suffered an injury during a training session that was catastrophic to my tricep tendon that severed the muscle from the bone, bringing a small piece of the connective piece with it. I am a Certified Personal Trainer, and an athlete, and has been atheletic at a high level of competitive sailboat racing for more than 40 years, the injury was bound to happen according to the sports orthopedic doctor due to the nature of the the years of wear and tear. As well as the training that is required to stay prepared and highly capable.
Unfortunately the upfront cost to have the surgery far exceed my financial ability to have the procedure done in a timely fashion before it grows worse and the costs skyrocket.
My career as a professional Certified Personal Trainer requires me to be at my best to suit my many folks I bring the joy of fitness to. It is imperative I have the surgery not only for me, but for me to best serve those that rely upon me for direction and support.
As for racing, the season is past and there is plenty of time for rehabilitation spanning several months.
The surgeon and hospital wants this done no later than 2 weeks from now. Outside of that time, the cost skyrocket. They tentatively set it for this Friday, but it can be moved out one more week. The GoFundMe funds for my humble request for financial assistance come very difficult for me as I am very hard pressed to ask for help for myself. But this is catastrophic, and I need help.
There are no words to describe how this would benefit me, my daughters of whom I adore, and the many, many people I help with their own fitness journeys.
I am grateful to any assistance that can be brought forward to help me.
Warmest regards,
Eroc
