Surgery Three-quel - I can not believe this is real

DIFFICULT UPDATE: I don’t know how to say this but Ray is having another CCL surgery in 2 weeks. His first surgery, done last December, failed. And apparently it failed a long time ago and no one thought to have it rechecked. (I have 4 vet visits that note the lameness in their internal SOAP notes, and none sent me for an MRI. I have heard multiple times that the type of surgery he had done in Maryland was not appropriate for a big dog (we went with the vets rec) and that it’s a ‘chihuahua operation’. ) Naturally they are not taking responsibility because all surgeries have a chance of failure. I'll deal with the failed aftercare opportunities when this is finally over ....It’s all very frustrating and honestly the second surgery recovery has been great.... now i know how it should look! But yes, one more 10k surgery in 2 weeks and more pain and limitations for this brave boy through the end of the year. The gofundme is reopened, but I’ve also got a zero percent CC so in any case it will work out. Send us your good vibes and whisper them in his frito scented ears. ❤️
UPDATE:
I picked Ray up from surgery today at Blue Pearl , and they say he did great! It turned out i need every penny raised, so again my endless appreciation for your help!! Here is an update picture of Ray, high as a kite on codeine, gabepentin and rimadyl.... sweet RAY has already eaten, napped and gone for a little walk, visited with neighbors and licked my arm.

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!!

Shortly after losing my best girl Saltie to cancer i was lucky enough to find this sweet boy... or did Saltie send him?? He even came with the name Ray which is what my dad called all his kids as a nickname (I'm Gina-Ray).

A big goofy puppy of just 11 months old; he tore his CCL running in the rain. We made it through an intense and expensive surgery and 6 months of focussed recovery, so he could return to playing with his friends and swimming the dog pond at Prospect Park!

Dogs who tear their CCL have a 50% chance of injuring the other leg and alas last Friday I had to carry him out of the park after he stumbled mid-run.

Poor Ray is scheduled for TPLO surgery September 3rd and well, we need help... His insurance (Fetch) had a clause that resulted in them refusing coverage for the first surgery (6 month ortho window....we made it to 5.5 months) and now makes both legs exempt from coverage. side note: Insurance is a money making scheme.

The surgeon at Blue Pearl said:
a) he's a very good boy
b) it going to cost around $9,000 on top of the $1800 for diagnostics we paid today. (We is me, Ray doesn't have a job)

Any help is so appreciated, i am so grateful for all of the support and kindness people have already offered for getting us through this next few months, including sending their kids over to watch tv with him (his favorite show is The Wire Season 3 ) , having a bake sale by Prospect Park and face-timing with Lars*.

*Lars is at my sister's house while we get through this country western song known as 2025
