I am hoping that you can help support our dear friend Enrico Domirti during his recovery from his recent emergency open heart surgery.

 

As some of us know, Rico has already recently been dealing with some major obstacles in his life. Over the past five years he has been a constant support to his father who has lost both of his legs and has been in and out of the hospital with kidney and heart problems. Never one to be afraid of hard work, Rico has helped to take care of his father’s land while also working nights as a sound technician at the Roxy and for various other productions with Briere Production Group. After Covid hit, his career literally divebombed as live performance came to a halt" to "COVID has crippled the Live Events sector in Canada making it one of the Hardest Hit Sectors. With literally no Live Events in BC the last 20 months. Rico had to be resourceful in securing other work like many to survive the pandemic but this became too much..

 

On August 3rd of this year, at just 38 years of age Enrico Domirti was rushed to hospital following a major heart attack. Luckily, doctors were able to save him in the nick of time but not without a price.

 

Following the surgery, Rico’s body was rocked and was not out of the woods, Aug 6 he went under a second surgery to repair blood flow to his kidneys, He was in shock and underwent CT scans and dialysis before being finally released on August 25th.

 

As if a near death experience wasn’t scary enough, Rico has come home to even more problems. His Employment Insurance barely covers his basic needs, he has no life savings due to covid and his doctors predict another 6-10 months are needed before he is able to return to normal work.
