Hello, my name is Crystal Ingrum and I am raising money to cover expenses and medical bills. Approximately 16 months ago I started experiencing extreme nausea and vomiting resulting in dramatic weight loss with no known reason as to why. Tests and scans came back clean and the doctors didn't know what to do. We tried changing my diet, numerous medications, breathing exercises to get the upper hand but no matter what the nausea and vomiting continued. UC Davis finally diagnosed me with malnutrition and failure to thrive with a gambit of other medical issues making day to day living difficult. Still I got weaker and lost more weight. I am currently fitted with an NJ feeding tube and recieve IV hydration twice a week to keep me going but still I'm losing weight. I've lost over 170 lbs (more than 60% of my body weight). We were blessed and lucky enough to find a specialist in El Paso, Texas whose primary area is in gastric motility issues. He has taken my case and believes he can help me regain strength and continue the fight for my life. We are going to El Paso for an urgent surgery to place a J feeding tube and begin therapy on relearning how to eat, how to live. We don't know how long we will be in Texas and I will be continuing aftercare with UC Davis in California. Many have asked how can they help or if I need anything and the truth is we have no idea how to finance a journey like this. My tube feeding supplies are not covered by insurance. Flights are not cheap. Hotels and gas are ripping holes in our accounts so we need help. No matter what we will find away but your love, prayers and donations will go a long way in easing the burden.
