My 4 year old frenchie boy got in the trash and ate something that is now lodged in his intestines. He must have surgery within the next 24 hours to remove the foreign object that is lodged. Went to a 24 hour emergency vet and they said it would cost $3,500-$5,000 for them to do it. They drained the fluids in his stomach, and gave him fluids to keep him comfortable for the night until I can figure out a plan in the morning. I’m going to call around other veterinary clinics and see if I can find anyone to do it cheaper but if I can’t I don’t know what to do. I’m a single mom and struggle to pay my bills, there is no way possible I can afford this. I’ve already got a bill for the emergency vet we went to this evening for $378. This dog is my best friend, my children absolutely adore him and the thought of losing him, having to give him away or put him to sleep is killing me.
