Endometriosis Surgery Funds and Medical Expenses

Hello everyone, this is incredibly hard for me since this has been a silent battle I’ve been facing for over five years now critically but most of my life in the grand scheme of things. Only my closest friends and family are aware - most only to some extent of the seriousness of what’s happened and still happening to my body.

I am diagnosed with Stage IV+ (DIE) Deep Infiltrating Endometriosis, PCOS, CRPS and recently Grade 3 Adenomyosis after discovery during my last surgery a few months ago. In the last three years, I’ve undergone six major surgeries to detach my organs from other organs, repair the damage caused to the best of our ability and also investigative surgery in between to manage the constant issues that arise. As well as emergency surgeries due to my rapid weight loss from my condition such as a Cholecystectomy, as just one example.

I am now facing severe malabsorption issues due to my digestive organs being unable to process anything going into my body, which has been caused from the endometriosis infiltrating my bowels. Along with seizures, fainting, chronic fatigue and my entire life being consumed by physical pain too immeasurable to explain. 

I have lost my career, ability to drive, my self image, my ability to live independently and I am now facing the reality that I will soon be at a point I won’t be able to survive economically or continue to cover my ongoing medical expenses I require to survive in the literal sense.

I am in dire need of future surgery to repair my body and ongoing management to increase my quality of life so that I can live properly again. I have already spent over $50,000 on medical expenses and surgery over the last few years and don’t have the ability to remain on the public health waitlist any longer without losing my home and everything I have worked for and mentally can not keep enduring the ongoing physical pain from my conditions.

I have always given everything I can to anyone that needs it and asking for help is not something I lightly do however being solely on my own, I have no where to turn. The funds I am desperately asking for assistance with are for the repair of my stomach, reconstructive surgery to assist with my pain, ongoing specialist fees, nerve blocking procedures, further endometrial excision, living expenses during recovery, hospital admissions and my medication which is not covered by Medicare.

Anything that is left over will be donated to Endometriosis Research in Australia and given back to the community for others in the same situation as myself.
