Surgery funding for Teresa Cooper

Hi, my name is Robin, and I am fundraising for a dear friend suffering from BII (breast implant illness). According to the Cleveland Clinic, "breast implant illness is a collection of symptoms that may be related to breast implants. Though the exact cause is unknown BII may be related to autoimmune or inflammatory responses." Common symptoms include fatigue, joint pain, brain fog, respiratory issues, problems swallowing, anxiety and depression, chest pain, inflammation, restrictive lung disease, migraines, and other debilitating symptoms. Sometimes the symptoms have been mistaken for MS, rheumatoid arthritis, Lupus, fibromyalgia and other chronic diseases.

Because BII is not recognized by the WHO (World Health Organization), the surgery necessary to remove the implants and the diseased tissue is not covered by any insurance. My friends has suffered for at least 10 years with all of the symptoms mentioned above. She has consulted a microsurgeon in Richmond who says that 85% of the women who have the enbloc procedure have few to no symptoms of BII postsurgically.

The enbloc procedure involves a deposit of $1900 to schedule the surgery, and then a balance of $12,100 is due two weeks before the day of surgery. This dear friend has suffered way too long. She is a Godly woman who cares for her many grandchildren, assists her husband in his pastoral duties to their congregation, and is a leader and missionary in listening for the call of God to lead her daily.
