Surgery Fund for Roxy

While she is only 2 years old, little Roxy already has quite the story. She was born in Korea, but abandoned in front of a rescue group. Luckily, she was saved and eventually brought over to the U.S. with an adoption agency. She was surrendered to a veterinary clinic when her new owner found out she had Heartworm and could no longer take care of her.  Dr. Chung at Little Tokyo Pet Clinic has  worked tirelessly to save her from the brink of death.  During her stay at Little Tokyo Pet Clinic, Roxy won over the hearts of the staff and clients alike.  Once she began feeling better, Roxy even acted as the official hospital greeter!

This is is where we come in. During a visit to Little Tokyo Pet Clinic, my husband and I met Roxy and heard her incredible story. We couldn't resist her sweet little face and knew she would fit in perfectly with our 2 Dachshund boys at home. We immediately decided to bring her home to meet her new brothers. 

My husband and I took on the protocols to help nurse Roxy back to health. She has a very serious condition and it has a been a very bumpy road. She has  had two blood transfusions and multiple trips to the hospital while we tried to kill the worms living in her heart. 


This week we received the news that, without surgery, Roxy will not make it past the end of the year. Unfortunately, we have not been able to find a surgeon in the US who has been able to do the procedure on such a small dog. The good news is that Dr. Chung has been able to connect with a well-known surgeon in Korea who would be able to do the surgery, and at a much more reasonable price than any place here in the US. 

We really want to help Roxy in every way we can but the financial burden is starting to become very heavy. Anything you can contribute to save this little dog's life would be greatly appreciated. Please donate to help Roxy celebrate the holidays with a new lease on life.
