Meet Zoey, the Tongue-Out Tabby Who Stole Our Hearts!

She’s silly. She’s sweet. She’s the cat who helped my mom heal from heartbreak. Now Zoey needs our help. A torn ACL and a throat condition are making it hard for her to walk, breathe, and swallow. Both of her surgeries will cost $6,400.71 and every donation brings her one step closer to more purrs, more bleps, and more years of love.

In 2019, Zoey was sitting alone in a shelter as the only FIV+ cat there. Many people passed her by, and the shelter feared she might be put down. But my mom saw something special. She adopted Zoey on the spot, determined to give her the loving life she deserved.

Zoey has been making people smile ever since! Her tongue hangs out because of dental loss from FIV, and you just can’t help but grin back at her silly little “blep.” She’s funny, affectionate, and loves grooming herself and everyone else around her. More than that, she’s been a constant source of comfort for my mom through some of the hardest years of her life, helping her heal from domestic violence, separation from her husband, and a difficult relocation.

Now, Zoey needs our help. She recently tore her ACL. While being examined, the vet also discovered she has an elongated throat that’s pressing on her larynx, making it hard for her to breathe and swallow. Both of these conditions are treatable, but without surgery, she may need to be euthanized.

Zoey has given so much love, joy, and comfort not just to my mom, but to everyone who’s met her. We want to give her the best chance at a long, happy, and comfortable life.
