Surgery for Mr Puppy

Hi, I am Kitty.

For those who know me, you know that my boy, Mr Puppy is my whole world. We have been through a lot and I can honestly say he has saved me.

Mr Puppy loves to explore different nature landscapes and go on adventures.

Sadly, he recently ruptured his cruciate ligament and is unable to even walk right now. His cry of pain was the most heartbreaking sound I have ever heard.

He needs surgery to repair his knee but unfortunately I don't have the funds to cover it. He is on pain medication to try and keep him comfortable while I save enough money but it breaks my heart to see him like this. He is in pain and I am not able to help.

I find it very difficult to ask for help, but his happiness and health is far more important than my own pride. So I am asking with all of my heart for any contribution to help me get this beautiful boy the treatment he requires to get back out into the world and onto new (albeit more gentle) adventures.

Our vet has recommended TPLO (tibial-plateau-leveling osteotomy) surgery over the DeAngelis surgery as he feels it will be a better long term solution and the DeAngelis could still result in chronic pain with a bit more joint slipping. My goal is to aim for the TPLO surgery.

But in the interest of full transparency, the quotes I have been given are:

Pre-surgery X-rays: $617

TPLO surgery: $4800

or

DeAngelis surgery: $3500
