My fiancé and I recently had to rush our 10 month old cat to the emergency room after she stopped eating and became extremely lethargic. She's also been unable to use the litter box and has worsening abdominal distension. It turns out she had a serious obstruction in her GI tract at her ileocolic junction. Melfi needed to stay overnight at the veterinary hospital, receiving fluids, drugs, and multiple x rays/ultrasounds. After all of this, coupled with the cost of her upcoming surgery, we now have substantial medical expenses. We love our girl and are hoping for a speedy recovery.
