Surgery for Lil Roscoe

Meet Lil Roscoe this young pup has fought for his life since birth. He and his sister weighed just 4 ozs, unfortunately his sister passed away a few days after she was born. It was touch and go for Lil Roscoe over the next 4 weeks. He had gained only 2 ozs being fed by 2 other moms since his mother didn't produce any milk He slowly gained strength despite his size he was strong, Lil Roscoe would move by using his front legs his back legs were barely being used as Lil Roscoe continued to grow he finally weighed 1 lb by 7 weeks old we noticed that when he walked his back right leg swung out and around. By 10 weeks old Lil Roscoe weighed in at 2.8 lbs but was still swinging his right back leg to walk. We took Lil Roscoe to a spine, bone and joint specialist and found out that his bones in his leg was fused together preventing him from bending it. If we do nothing in a few years Lil Roscoe will develop major hip problems causing him a lot of pain. If the specialist does this procedure now while the bones are still developing Lil Roscoe can learn to walk and live a normal life.
