Joie is the best friend and companion of Sarah Vilenchik.
Joie is a 2-year-old French bulldog, and is one of the most fun-loving, happy animals you will ever meet. But recently, Joie was diagnosed with IVDD, a degenerative spine disorder, that she needs surgery on or else she will become paralyzed. She is an energetic dog with a long life ahead of her, and she does not deserve the pain and discomfort she is going through. Joie means the world to Sarah, and she could not bear the thought of Joie’s quality of life going down so drastically.
Sarah is a senior at the College of Charleston and is months away from graduating. It is her birthday this week, and her only wish is to make sure Joie gets better. Unfortunately, times have been tough, so the cost of the surgery right now is out of reach. As a student, and in COVID times, money is difficult to come by, and Sarah is scared that she will not be able to afford Joie’s surgery and that Joie will continue to suffer because of it. Sarah is solely responsible for Joie and is financially independent, so she needs help from you all. Any donation will help out immensely and be greatly appreciated by both Sarah and Joie. Thank you all for your love and support in such a difficult time as this one.
