Surgery for Found Kitten’s Broken Arm

Hello, fellow animal lovers!

On November 2nd a kitten limped out of the bushes crying in pain. We realized immediately that it was severely injured. We contacted the local animal control, posted on our local Lost Pets FB page, and Ring community, but no one came forward as her owner. So, we took her to the vet ourselves. X-rays revealed that her arm was completely broken. The Veterinarian believes she may have been hit by a car on Halloween. Other than the broken arm she is a healthy, 6 month old cat. Time was of the essence to save her arm, so we decided that we would assume responsibility and get her the surgery she needed.

At this point we have paid $2,893.64 in vet bills to save this kitten that came to us for help. This was a very unexpected expense for our family, especially nearing the holidays. But, we acted fast when we saw this sweet kitten in such horrible condition.

Our family has fallen in love with her. If the owner doesn’t come forward, we plan to keep her and care for her for the rest of her life. We will be getting her vaccinated and spayed once’s she’s healed. We will assume all future responsibility for her care.

P.S. We named her Binx, like the black cat from the movie Hocus Pocus.
