Dustin suffered severe complications from an injury back in 2017 and the family has been back and forth between doctors and different treatments that have not worked.
They saw a neurosurgeon about a procedure proven to help with his condition. They were thrilled, got him on the schedule for the trial period, then insurance fought with them on coverage and finally approved it so he underwent the trial period. It worked fantastically and improved his condition more than they could have ever thought.

The trial was over and Dustin had to heal for 2 weeks from that and then they were on the schedule for the permanent placement. Insurance again fought them on it. Denied it and denied the appeal. The Goads were told the trial was a miscommunication  and that it should never have been approved. Now for Dustin to get the surgery they must pay $40,000 to get on the surgery schedule.   The total cost of the surgery $140,000.

Dustin has had great success with the trial and would be a great surgery candidate.   There aren't many people that can just come up with $140,000 right away. That is where as a community we can come together and help.  We can help by coming up with the initial cost, plus the go fund me fees.

Dustin's diagnosis is Complex Regional Pain Syndrome.   It is on the list of medically rare diseases and is ranked one of the highest for pain.  Guess what the disease's nickname is...the suicide disease.   NO ONE wants Dustin to feel so much pain or hopelessness that suicide feels like an option.
