Hello, I am raising money so that my son can have much needed knee surgery. Our insurance denied the request, despite the fact that his orthopedic surgeon has proven that it’s a medically necessary surgery. Desmond is a 15 year old boy with special needs due to complete Agenesis of the corpus collosum. He has low cognitive development, low muscle mass, weak bones and joints that are prone to subluxations. He can barely walk without his knee giving out due to his knee cap dislocating. The orthopedics surgeon says that surgery will restore his quality of life. Due to having active insurance, we do not qualify for financial assistance from the hospital. Please consider giving.
