Deaf Boxer “Witten” FIGHTING CANINE CANCER
Donation protected
⚠️ Witten has an appointment on January 28th at 1:00 pm with oncologist Dr. Jason at Pacific Northwest Specialty Hospital in Vancouver Washington. We will need to raise money for his consult, then moving forward with chemotherapy to save his life. Chemo is $400 to $500 a treatment and we do not know yet how many treatments he will need. We know we have an amazing community & we are confident we will reach our goals and I’m confident Witten will beat this
UPDATE: Wittens ultrasound came back clean with no disease found in the spleen the liver or anywhere in the abdominal area. THANK YOU GOD
✔️SURGERY UPDATE Witten had his surgery I have posted his surgery notes and his biopsy results. There is some good news and some bad news, he will need an ultrasound on Wednesday Feb 8th (quote is attached in the updates $700.00) and he will need chemotherapy which is why we increased the donation amount of the go fund me. The Oncology consultation and the Chemo alone will be thousands.
We are grateful to all who have donated, please consider making a donation regardless of the amount it all matters.
DOG LOVERS & PET PARENTS - Our Family is humbly asking for support from our Dog Loving Community. As a Pet Patent you know how terrifying hearing the “C” word can be
Witten is our baby boy as his parents we MUST exhaust every avenue to save his life, which is why we are humbly coming before the community sharing his story.
We had very little time between this diagnosis and coming up with the funds for a surgery he MUST have on Jan 21st.
This news hit us so hard and so fast, but we are determined to save his life. Any help from the community would be appreciated more than you know. If you are not able to donate please share his fundraiser far & wide please, we are grateful for any donation. $5.00 dollars goes farther than most people think
Witten’s Birthday /Gotcha Day is January 21st & all we want is a surgery to remove 4 tumors. If they are cancerous the surgery will be saving his life so he can have MANY more birthdays with his family.
We've already done extensive testing trying to determine what these tumors are. ($3,000 in tests)
Jan 17th (yesterday) Witten had a ($509.00) vet bill for pre surgery blood work and he had a horrible reaction to something, the poor guy was miserable covered in hives.
TREATMENT SO FAR: We did needle aspirate‘s of the tumors, sent them off to a pathologist and they came back-inconclusive. The doctor was very concerned because they are very bloody so she took 3 more needle aspirates in different locations and sent them off and they came back again inconclusive.
NOW WE NEED THEM OUT ASAP so they can biopsy them, find out what we are dealing with & how to move forward. Several cancerous tumors don’t shed cells which is why his doctor is so worried about leaving these in his body any longer❗️
* Our family has been hit with so much tragedy this last year with cancer it’s hard to wrap our heads around. We’ve endured such loss, we can’t even imagine the thought of facing it again so soon. See details below.
Our Sweet Boy Witten is a Deaf White Boxer who was rescued off death Row 5 years ago on Jan 21st …. He took sign language classes once a week for a year and does so well, we have no problem communicating with him. He’s just a normal happy dog
I was tagged (somebody thought he was a pitbull because he had a tail, but he is 100% white boxer )on Witten shortly after I lost my first rescue pitbull “Daisy” my soul dog to cancer 5 years ago on Christmas Day.
WITTENS RESCUE JOURNEY:
Seconds before he was to be euthanized I contacted a rescue I knew in CA, they put a hold on him, got him out of the shelter and rushed him to the emergency vet in California where he had to stay for 2 weeks because he was so ill.
I was in Washington State and Witten was in a horrible shelter hidden in the back & deathly ill in San Bernardino California.
This poor boy had such a rough start to life & he was only 4 months old. I paid for all his medical bills, then hopped on a plane flew to CA, rented a car and drove
my sweet Witten back to the Great Pacific NW where he’s lived a great life so far! He’s a huge hit at the Dog Park.
Witten truly rescued me & helped me deal with the loss of my Daisy ♥️
I will admit we are scared because Witten has lost his 2 brothers this year and his bonded sister to canine cancer
I don’t think we his Mom & Dad could survive another loss
◾️We have not financially or emotionally recovered from losing 3 dogs to cancer in the last 11 months. We truly did everything to try to save them with extremely expensive treatments and radiation, I have no regrets as they are our babies & I’d do it all over again.
It has only been less than 5 months since our last one left us suddenly, we’ve had no time to recover as we were fighting multiple cancers back to back. I cannot believe we may be here again so soon….. CANCER SUCKS
Canine cancer stole 3 of my babies lives & I will NOT let it steal Witten’s. BOXERS Sadly are predisposed to mast cell tumors and other cancers tumors.
We Graciously THANK YOU for taking the time to read this.
We want to thank everybody who has donated, shared his fundraiser, sent light, love and prayers.♥️
It is humbling to have to reach out to the community, but we have been blessed with an outpouring of love for our sweet boy
Thank You From Witten, his fur Siblings his Mom & Dad
