Surgery for Butterscotch

My cat Butterscotch got outside during the night. This morning we found him laying in the garden by the door with a wound on his left hip.  

I took him to a clinic and they did xrays and gave me pain and antibiotics. His left femur is shattered near the hip joint. 

I called my regular vet who said they can do the amputation on Tuesday for 1600.  I would have to call a couple places on Monday to see if it could be repaired.  My regular vet said I'm looking to pay around 4000.00. 

So far I paid 200.00 today.  Just like most people I live from paycheck to paycheck.  I can't get approved by that Carecredit site.  Any help would be much appreciated.
