Surgery for Apple

Sunday afternoon Apple was riding in the backseat of the car when her mom was forced to slam on breaks due to a car making an illegal u-turn in front of them, sending Apple slamming headfirst into the seat in front of her. Apple was unable to stand or walk immediately following impact and taken to the emergency room for observation. The following day she was transferred to NC State for an MRI for a suspected neck/spinal injury. The MRI showed she had a complete slipped disc in her neck and was immediately taken into surgery before all motor functions were lost. She is recovering well so far but will have a long recovery including multiple physical therapy sessions. The cost of diagnostics, surgery, hospital stays & PT sessions are building up.
