Surgery Costs For Krypto

I'm fundraising for the medical costs for my dog, Krypto. He's a 6 year old Cane Corso, and after a vet visit on February 28th, 2025, we were informed that it's extremely likely that he has cancer in one of his nipples, and it would need to be removed. The vet also recommended that he be neutered at the same time, to avoid any further complications, as these issues are usually caused by hormones, and is more common in older dogs, who are not neutered or spayed.

The vet has given an estimate of $1700 for the costs of the surgery, biopsy and pathology testing, as well as the neutering, and pain management medications. Unfortunately, I am on disability, so this is something that is outside of my ability to just address.

Krypto is my best friend. In 2020, I went through some very intense life events, that left me in a very depressive state, to the point of wanting to unalive myself numerous times. Krypto is the reason I'm still here, today. When I was at my lowest, and didn't want to continue, he gave me a reason to get up every morning. He gave me a presence to reassure me. He gave me something to hold onto at night, while I cried myself to sleep. He has been the most gentle giant that anybody could ask for. I'm not ashamed to admit that this dog saved my life, by simply being a poor man's best friend.

I don't expect help, but I'm asking for help. You may know me, you may not.. but I'm sure every one of you knows someone who loves their dog like family. Like a best friend. I can't imagine what it would be like without him.
