Surgery cost for Esther’s broken ankle

My name is Megan Lopez and the beautiful smile you see in the picture is my mom, Esther Lopez. A few days ago, on September 18, she was leaving the Alamo Drafthouse when she fell down a flight of stairs and broke her ankle. I am making this GoFundMe in secret in hopes to surprise her with a little bit of financial relief for the cost of surgery. She is retired and does not have medical insurance, so the surgery to fix her broken ankle ended up costing around $50,000. I realize that is an insane number to try and reach, but really anything will help her as she is not working at the moment.
