Update on Billy Ballew: The surgeon was not able to see anything with the scope or complete the laparoscopic/robotic procedure and ended up doing an open surgery. There is lots of scar tissue but they were able to get to the mass, which is colon cancer. They had to cut through the mesh they put in in 2018. They have closed up the fascia and are working to give him many injections ans nerve blocks to help with the pain before they closw him up. Thank you all sincerely for the prayers and encouragement. On Wednesday, February 12th, 2020 Billy will be undergoing his 6th cancer related surgery to remove the tumors that have metastasized in his abdomen. He is only 42 years old and has been fighting colon cancer since 2016 when he was diagnosed as stage 3B. Now he is stage 4 with this new recurrence. After surgery he will be undergoing chemo again and trying to get back in the swing of working. Right now he will more than likely miss about 8-12 weeks of work and without insurance or much in the way of savings, this is a big financial burden on top of everyday life. Billy's wife works full time but will be missing work to help take care of Billy and will need to likely hire home health and or pet sitters to help tend to the everyday tasks that Billy will be unable to do while he is recovering. Anything you could spare would be a great help, and if you can't spare anything, your prayers and positive words of encouragement are more blessing that you could know.
