Santos returned to Boston Tuesday after he said he was attacked at the intersection of Canal Street and Bourbon Street around 4 a.m. Monday.

“My jaw was broken in two different areas,” Santos said.

Santos' sister, Sara Allen, said her brother was alone at the time of the incident and the men who jumped him made off with his wallet, which contained cash, credit cards and his identification.

Santos family contacted UBER for a ride to the Emergency Room and his Uber driver name Lisa was able to guide them in the direction to one of the local hospital in New Orleans for his medical care .

"He had a broken part of his jaw in the middle and in the center as well,” Allen said. "A black-and-blue eye and a cut on the side of his face as well. The doctor at Ochsner Hospital said that he is going to need his jaw reset from an oral surgeon, as well as braces to hold his jaw in place."

And to add insult to his injury Santo's was not getting real cooperations from the NOPD when he and his family were trying to file a report about him being robbed and beaten. Eventually they had to file a complaint with the Bereau of Integrity Office and contact the news media at WDSU.COM to have his story made known .

Santos' attack is one of many in the past few days.

One attack was on Bienville Street at 9 p.m. on Saturday. Two men in town from Boston for a religious conference were violently beaten and it was captured on camera. Another occurred the same day near St. Charles Avenue and Canal Street. NOPD confirmed to WDSU the victim had several hundred dollars in his wallet.

He is in need of any contributions that can help him fianacially while he prepare to have multiple surgeries especially since he doesn't have adequate medical insurance to cover him . He also is need of support financially since he will be out of work for an extended period of time.

Please feel free to also pass this on to share with others so we can rally in his support .

This is such a sad event that took place in  city like New Orleans, which have come to be known for their increase of violence and high murder rate .
