I crashed! But this time, it wasn’t while I was surfing. I was in a motorcycle accident on April 12, 2023, ten days ago, in Costa Rica and broke five of my ribs in seven locations. My lungs are collapsing. Blood has entered the plural lining of my lungs, has clotted, and needs to be removed surgically. It’s a life or death situation. One local hospital took X-rays the first day of accident which showed 3 broken ribs and said I was fine and to go home. I started coughing up blood on April 20, 2023, so I had to go to a more expensive hospital with a CT scan which showed five ribs broken, the blood, and the gravity of it. The surgery is today ! April 22. Anything you can give to help pay a bill that is going to be close to $30,000, would be helpful. Love and hugs! Hopefully I’ll be able to surf again. I’ll settle for breathing again!
