On August 5th, 2017 on her 27th birthday, Barbara had a life changing boating accident that resulted in the loss of one of her legs below the knee. She has never let it get her down and serves as a positive inspiration to us all to make the best with what you got, and never give up on yourself.

Now 2 1/2 years after the accident, she wants to compete in the AmpSurf ISA World Para Surfing Championship in La Jolla, CA.

We are trying to raise money for a new specialized surfboard/wetsuit, fees, lodging, and related expenses.
